Dental Crowns

An important cornerstone of restorative care is dental crowns, which are individual restorations designed to “cap” over a tooth. This restores the tooth’s natural strength and size, protecting it from further harm. Dr. Shah might recommend the placement of a dental crown in a variety of situations, including severe decay, a dental injury, weakened structure, fractures, and aesthetic concerns. This procedure typically requires two to three appointments.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Virtually everyone has experienced a cavity at some point in their life, and in turn, they’ve had a filling placed to restore health to the tooth. While silver-colored fillings have been the go-to solution for many years, our team is happy to offer tooth-colored composite fillings as a more effective and cosmetic-minded solution. In addition to their natural look, composite fillings are more conservative (allowing Dr. Shah to preserve more of the tooth’s original structure) and less sensitive to changes in temperature than their metallic counterparts.
